Supporting the NHS

As I write this, the UK has now been in Lockdown for almost 3 weeks. I'm not going to lie, it's been hard. My husband is a Key Worker, so I spend my days safe at home worrying about him and everyone else working on the front lines to help stop the spread.

To keep busy, I've been donating baked goods to the local nurses.

I've done a few boxes of cupcakes now, some brownies, some cookies.

It feels like feeble support for those that are working so hard for all of us, but sometimes a little cake can help make things a little less bleak. I hope that they've enjoyed the baked goods, and of course we have maintained all the precautions that we could to ensure that everything that leaves our kitchen is safe. Thankfully, there is evidence to show that Covid-19 cannot be transmitted through food!

If you or a loved one would enjoy a sweet treat at this time, please get in touch. We are still doing contact-free deliveries, or offering collection, and will continue to do so as long as it's safe.

With love,

Giulia
